Create Adorable Custom French Fry Gift Boxes with Becky!
Isn’t Oh What Fun! such a gorgeous collection?! As soon as I saw it I knew that I wanted to create something with it that I could share with friends and these French Fries boxes are absoutely perfect and very quick to make. I used the 6x4 patterned cards, the sticker pack and some white card and gems from my stash.
First I took a piece of fairly stiff white card and cut it to 5.5” wide by 8.5” long. I then scored this at 1” and 4” on the short side and at 3” and 4” on the long side.
Choose 2 patterned papers for each box you are making and cut one piece (we will call this paper A) 4.25” x 3.25” and two pieces 7/8” x 4”. You can get this out of one 6x4 card. Paper B is cut at 2 7/8” x 3 1/4”.
Fold your card along the creases and then stick paper A as indicated in the photo below.
Your card should then look like this with paper A.
Take a circular object - I used a metal cutting die as a template, which fits the width of your card and place it at the top of the card and draw round it to create a semi circle. Cut this out.
Now stick paper B in place.
Use the same circle but the other way up to draw round and cut out, to create a dip in the card.
Now we need to create the tabs to enable us to create the box. See the photo below to see how I did this.
Put glue on the outside of the tabs, fold up and attach the front of the box to them.
Put glue on the outside of the front edges and fold round the back flaps to make up the box.
And there you have it! A fries box ready to decorate. I used a variety of stickers from the sticker pack plus some of the journal cards which I had sized down. I put some on foam to add some dimension and finished them off with gems and Nuvo Drops. It was then just a case of adding some biscuits (cookies!) with some tea and coffee sachets. Now they are ready to give out over the festive period!
