DIY Tic-Tac-Toe Boards with Allie
Hey friends! Allie from Allie Scraps here to share a fun Halloween activity for your kids using your new favorite Halloween collection, Jack and Skelly!
As the room mom and secretary of the PTO, I’m usually tasked with coming up with games or small giveaways for the kids for different holidays or parties. This year, we needed a small and easy game that kids could play during our October Math night, but it needed to look FUN!
Enter in …Tic-Tac-Toe! Easy to explain, easy to play, and with this cute collection, easy to make it look FUN!
I started out with the 3x4 patterned paper cards and just added some “Tic-Tac-Toe” boards in coordinating colors … and I added some fun embellishments from the kit in there too, just to make it extra Halloweeny! I also made sure I had several small “embellishments” that would work as the playing pieces -- you need to make sure you have two different designs (one for each player!), and at least 5 of each game piece for each player.
I mixed it up with pumpkins, cats, and so many other cute icons! (Side note: you can also use the mini erasers that kids LOVE to collect-- here’s a set on Amazon I found, but not in time for our event! I also picked up some from Target, but they were WAY bigger than I expected, and way too big for my 3x4 cards! If I had done a bigger game card, they would have been perfect!)
If you wanted these to be reusable or sturdier, you could laminate them, and then you could even use dry erase markers to make the Xs and Os of traditional play -- or even use different colors or kinds of candy! The possibilities are endless, but the game and assembly is easy!
Let me know if you make some fun little game cards (or similar!) with your digital supplies!
