December Daily 2024 | Day 04

If you’re a Spotify-listening household like we are, then you know Day 4 is all about Spotify Wrapped! Spotify finally released their roundup of our listening habits on the 4th and it’s a big story in our household so, of course, this had to be story number four!

The problem? The Wrapped graphics are STARTLINGLY UGLY this year to a design lunatic like me, so how do I include these images without creating an ugly page? See how I tackled that problem below!

December Daily 2024 | Day 04

First of all, I was working with a single page to pair with my Day Three story from yesterday, so I needed a way to include 10 images on one 6x8 page! I decided to create a fold- out page with a pocket to solve a few different problems.

First, this allowed me to HIDE those ugly graphics at first glance AND included all 10 images. This also extended the page so I could add journaling and a cute “wrapped” present that I had stuck in my brain.

I used the Festive collection for this page and printed one 8.5x11 sheet of paper with a pattern + TN signature with my journaling on one side and a full-page print on the other. I scored my page at the edge of the TN signature so that it creates the flap for the page perfectly. I then printed the striped paper to create the pocket and adhered it on 3 sides to create the pocket on the inside of the page.

The cute little poinsettia tag was actually from a DIY Your Scraps video I made last year, so all I had to do was add my “4” to it!

For the ugly graphics, I printed both images for each person as one long image so that I could put them on these tags created from the solid papers in the Festive collection, making sure to put the really offensive red image at the bottom so that it would be completely covered went the tags were in the pockets.

The only changes I made to these images were to add our names in pink and red to each of the black graphics (rather than just “minutes listened”) so it would be easy to differentiate each person’s tag.

I also added an eyelet and string to the top of each tag for a little added detail.

On the outside of the flap, I created a present with paper strips from the Festive collection and a bow cut file that came with Silhouette Studio, I believe. I also added one of the tags from the Festive Journalers as the “gift tag” with the page title.
