Change the Vibe by Adding an Unexpected Pop of Color with Nicole!
Hey all! Nicole here with my layout featuring the Jack and Skelly collection! This collection is full of all the Halloween things that you need to document the season’s memories.
I started this layout by paper piecing. I knew I wanted to do a grid layout so I printed some of the patterned papers (9 of them) and cut them down to 3x3 inches. I wanted to include purple in my layout so I matted the patterned papers on some purple cardstock from my stash. I distressed all the little squares and placed them in a grid on some black cardstock from my stash. I also distressed my pic and popped that up on some dimensional foam tape. My pic is me from last year in my Halloween dress!
Next I started embellishing from the collection. I used the Trick or Treat sticker as my title for this layout, not that I’m actually going trick or treating, but I thought it was fun! I also used a tag down at the bottom left of my page to add journaling. Each little cluster got a flower printable and when I put them down, I made sure to fold up the edges to give them some dimension. I also used some black leaves, stars, and little flair buttons from the collection as well.
To finish off my layout I used some stuff from my stash to add to the embellishment clusters. First, I grabbed some purple buttons to just add some more of that color around the layout. I then grabbed a floral ribbon I have and cut off one flower for each cluster. I used a bow from my stash to add to the tag. Finally, I added some sequins to bring in some bling!
Thanks so much for coming by to read about my layout. I hope it gets you in the spooky mood and encourages you to get creating with your Jack and Skelly collection! Until next time, Nicole
