Save Paper and Ink by using Patterned Cards instead of Full-Size Papers!
I absolutely love all the papers in the bookish collection. In fact, I loved all of them so much much I wanted to use them all. One way to do that is by using the pocket cards. I printed out all of the 3x4 patterned cards from the Bookish collection. This ends up being only (6 ) 8.5x11 cardstock sheets. When I print my TRD items I like to print on lightweight cardstock. After pressing print I chose the option of printing on matte photo paper. I’ve found that this gives the best quality for the images.
Next I pulled out a 2 1/2 inch stitched circle die and began cutting circles for my layout. I love the extra detail the stitched die gave to my circles. I arranged the circles onto my layout. I kept the negative piece that you might normally throw away. I used those negative pieces of paper and layered behind my photo. No wasted paper here!
I printed a few of the stickers using the print and cut feature in Cricut and placed them around the page. Next I placed stitching holes and adding long stitches going vertical down the page. I love the added texture this brings to the layout.
No layout is complete without some mixed media. I added a few blue and white splatters all around the layout. For my title I pulled out an acrylic piece from my stash.
