Ronelia - Festive
I am in a very Christmassy mood right now so when I had to adapt this wonderful sketch from Traci I knew I wanted to use Festive because it's one of my favourite Christmas collections ever! I followed the sketch pretty closely for this one and I did a stamped background because who doesn't love a bit of stamping?!
Donna - Oh, What Fun!
I flipped the sketch to accommodate the orientation of the photos I used. From there, I just followed where the elements were placed on the sketch and added clusters of elements until I was satisfied with the overall look. I also changed the photo mats with the green and red frames from the kit.
Bruna - Summer Camp
This sketch was so fun to play with! I love to travel and have been recently to Yosemite Park, so I chose a favorite collection of mine, Summer Camp, to use for this road trip. I’ve used some stencil and stamps for the background and pretty much follow the sketch design. For the mat in some of the photos I’ve used Decortela, a kind of textile weave made of cotton. It gave great texture to the project!
Noemi - All Is Bright
Are the cold winter days approaching, and do you prefer staying at home? That was my weekend plan with this project. Sketches are a perfect source of inspiration because you can be as literal or as creative as you want. In my case, I loved the idea of embracing the Christmas spirit and used the pine tree cut file combined with the beautiful papers from the All is Bright collection. The result is a very fun and colorful layout where I documented the Christmas party with my crafty friends.
Nikki - Oh, What Fun!
For this sketch I wanted to keep true to the design because it was oh so fun! I love when you can add in a journaling card for extra context. We had just taken a cute photo in the kiddos new jolly crew jammies so this card was so, so perfect! I also wanted to make sure to use this textured alpha because I have honestly never seen such a detailed digital alpha before, it’s amazing! I love the traditional red and green and this hint of sparkles from the glitter dots. So bright and fun!
Torey - All Is Calm
This was such a fun sketch to work with and to use for documenting my puzzling sessions this year! I chose to use the All is Calm collection and it worked out perfectly!
Since I am documenting my December in a 6x8 size, I made some modifications to the sketch so that it would fit the size I’m working with. Instead of 4 rectangle photos, I went with 2 square photos. I also used rectangle solid pieces to place behind my photos instead of banners. I loved the tree background in the sketch, so I used some of the All is Calm papers and layered them to give the trees different patterns and printed that out as my main background. I really let that be the main print for my layout and used mainly solids for everything else. Love this sketch!
