Traci - My Person
I love the way this sketch “points” at your main photo so I knew I wanted a main photo that deserved the attention! Since Ares has been scrapped less than Apollo, I decided to pair this photo of him with the My Person collections it matched the colors in the photo pretty well! I moved the journaling to labels on the right hand side and also decided not to tuck my embellishments for my own take on the sketch.
Check out my process video for this layout below!
Cathy - Keep Chasing Rainbows
Cathy adapted the sketch to a 9x12 layout using the Keep Chasing Rainbows collection and forwent the journaling in favor of word bits! I love the bold choice of the rainbow background with the more mellow papers she chose to layer!
Caroline - Wildflower
Caroline stuck fairly close to the original sketch in her Life Crafted size spread using the brand new Wildflower Collection! I love her addition of the sketchy outlines!
Jenn - #Foodie
Delish! Jenn used the #Foodie collection with the sketch and embellished both in between and on top of the paper layers for a fun look!
Melinda - Anywhere But Here
Yes! I love that Melinda both rotated the sketch and made her triangles the same size! Sketches should alway be used as jumping off points to fit your own personal style! Her addition of white journaling on the map paper from the Anywhere But Here collection is so good!
Leah - Beautiful Dreamer
Leah also rotated her sketch layout using the 2022 Freebie - Beautiful Dreamer collection , but stuck more to the original sizing of the triangles. I love how the composition really draws your eye straight down when rotated like this!
Leontine - On The Go & Going Slow
Leontine went all out with the layers on the sketch, even adding a second photo! Those frames from the On The Go & Going Slow collection sticking out all over from the paper layers are so fun!
Thays - On The Go & Going Slow
Thays shrunk the sketch down and skinnier it up using the On The Go & Going Slow Collection on a white background with just a hint of watercolor dots!
