Tag You’re It! Fun Ways to Incorporate Tags into your Layouts with Danica!
I love tags! They are a very versatile embellishment. You can decorate them, stack them or use them as is. I think they are a whole lot of fun! In this post I will show you some different ways to add tags to your layouts.
For my first layout I used Traci’s Felicity collection. I grabbed one of the premade tags that came in the kit. I decorated it with a bow and some staples tucking it behind my photo. I then used the same tag as a template for the border of tags running down the left side of the photo. I clipped different patterned papers to it. To create the eyelets on the tags, I used the shape tool and created a circle. I then simplified the layer and clipped it over the hole in the tag. I then clipped a coordinating solid paper to it. I finished up the page with some elements and my title.
Sometimes Traci’s collections come with premade tags. For my next layout I used the tags that came in the Time To Thrive (retired) sticker pack and arranged them in the background of my layout. This was a great way to add different patterns to my page without it looking busy. Since Time to Thrive is retired, I am giving you a template of my layout created with it. You can clip different patterned papers to the “tags” to make your own page!

Another fun way to use tags on your layouts is to use them as photo frames! For this layout I used Traci’s Jack & Skelly as well as a template from Scrapping with Liz. There were several tags included as part of the template itself which I rearranged to incorporate one of Traci’s signature cards as my title. Once I added my photos to the tags, I added elements and word arts to decorate them.
Tags can be used to create quick and easy layouts too! For this layout I used Haunting. I pulled three tags from the collection and lined them up edge to edge in the middle of my layout. I place my photo on one of them using it as a frame. To complete my layout I added some additional elements. Easy peasy!
There you have some different and simple ways to incorporate tags into your layouts. I hope that you use some of these ideas on your own layouts! If you do, I would love to see your pages!
