Simple Shapes + Stickers = Magic with Tarrah!

Love the look of shaped designs on layouts but unsure how to create them?

I created this circle design layout using the gorgeous Bountiful collection but you could use any printable collection and try and shape for this! I created the circle using mostly printable embellishments by using a pencil to trace around a dinner plate onto plain white card stock. I then punched small holes on the traced circle about half a centimeter apart using a paper piercer.

I then took 3 strands of colored thread and hand stitched a back stitch around the entire circle. Once this was finished, I began pulling the printable embellishments from the Bountiful collection including the rainbows, leaves, flowers, mushrooms, butterflies, pumpkins and hearts.

I arranged these all around the circle until I was happy with how they all looked, trying to place similar colors or designs too close to each other. This is a great way to use up lots of leftovers from a collection if you only have a few bits and pieces left!

To add a little bit of depth and dimension, I added some enamel dots from my stash in some of the smaller holes around the circle as well. In the centre I placed 2 small photos and layered the lovely plaid paper. I placed some more embellishments around the photo and also placed my title at the bottom of the photos.

Thanks for stopping by today, I love how my layout turned out and I hope you will give a shaped design a try on your next project?!

Happy creating!
