Scraplift Saturday - Hybrid Team Member Vanessa!
I love scrolling through Vanessa’s gallery because she is such a fantastic traditional scrapbooker, but always has her eyes on ALL the details. From mixed media to texture to amazing design, every page is a treat!
Ophie, Trish, and Tai are showing off their scraps-lifts of Vanessa below!

Ophie - Weekender
I chose to scraplift Vanessa’s 50 Years Of Magic. What drew my eyes to this page was the paint in the background. Once I started on my page, I quickly got a page together that looks like but not exactly like her page with some tiny adjustments to the design. I love how my page turned out and will look at Vanessa’s page for future inspiration.

Trish - Weekender
Vanessa has such a beautiful gallery of pages that I could not bring myself to pick a page, so I asked my daughter to! She chose this page from Vanessa’s Instagram account featuring Traci’s Renewal collection. In her words, “I like the clean look of the page and the flowy design of the stars.” She also loved the theme and wanted me to make her a page about her and her father for the lift. She picked Traci’s Weekender collection because she said that it matched the bright colors of her shirt in the pictures.

Tai - Sunkissed
Vanessa has a simple and effective style to showcase the collections she works with. I scrolled through a lot of her IG feed and had a bunch of layouts I would like to scrap lift. I made a final choice with a layout using a cascade of hearts. It is simple but effective. I printed out the tye dye papers from the ‘Sunkissed’ collection from TR for my version. I wanted to add texture to the background with mint green lunar paste through a heart stencil. I then added splatters in mint and coral to accent the colors in the collection. I cut hearts out with a punch in my stash. I wanted to add some texture, so I punched holes at the bottom of the hearts to have them all laced together, but this string is not really shown in the final layout. I embellished the layout with elements for the collections sticker sheet. I printed my photo in black and white to not compete with the colors in the patterned papers. It turned out so amazing and I look forward to scrap lifting Vanessa again.
