Scraplift Saturday - Hybrid Team Member Tai!

Happy Scraplift Saturday! Today we’re lifting the incomparable Tai Cortes and for the first time ever, we had two lifts of the SAME layout - I love that that happened and I LOVE how different they are! Tai is an amazing and versatile scrapper and her gallery is chock full of delicious inspiration, so make sure you check it out and do your own lift with us!

Heather - Renewal

I had so much fun Scraplifting Tai, and I absolutely love how this layout turned out.  The inspiration layout that I selected is a December daily layout with a semi-circle of stars. I loved the design, and decided that Traci’s Renewal collection provided an ample amount of stars to work with. I created a 12 x 12 layout with a photo that  mom and step-dad sent me celebrating the news that I had been offered a new job.  The stars and color palette gave just the right celebratory vibe.  I also added some mini gold star stickers and some sequins to add a little more fun to the layout.  Thanks for the inspiration, Tai!

Nicole - All Is Calm

Hey all, Nicole here with a scraplift of the wonderful Tai!  She created a TN layout of a half circle with stars around the edge, so that is what I’m basing my layout on.  I started with my pic, which is from a walk I took last month and it was one of the coldest days of the season.  I had my long sleeve shirt, my sweater, and my big puffy coat on, weird for Scottsdale!  So I went straight for the All Is Calm collection since it had lots of wintery blues and whites in it.  I used patterned paper 16 to make my half circle.  I then grabbed a bunch of ellies from the digital kit and some stickers to add around my layout.  I finished off my layout with journaling and some paint splatters.  I’m loving the end results of this layout!

Becky - Autumn Enchantment

Hello everyone! Today I am scraplifting our talented team member Tai. When I looked through her Instagram I was spoilt for choice but the Christmas wreath layout really called to me! I decided to use the Autumn Enchantment collection and make the wreath using leaves. Now I would normally print and cut from the stickers pack to do a layout like this but I decided to challenge myself and print and cut from the digital kit instead. This gives a different feel to the layout as some of the embellishments have a more ‘real’ feel to them. I loved the “puffy stickers” and printed them small then covered them in clear Nuvo drops to make them shiny. I had fun layering up the leaves to make the wreath using hot glue on the back of some to give depth and adding the butterflies and moths as accents. I added 3 wooden mushrooms from my stash and some gold Nuvo drops around the wreath. A few word strips and a title from the sticker pack completed my layout.  Thanks Tai for the wonderful inspiration!

Danica - Smitten

It was so hard to pick just one layout from Tai to scraplift! The more I perused her Instagram the more layouts I found that I loved! I picked this fun Christmas layout of hers. I loved all the squares and how there was potential to decorate as little or as many as I wanted to fill. I used Traci’s newest collection Smitten for the rest.

Melinda - My Story Matters + Filled With Intention

Tai's almost full page photo plus that stamped title is what grabbed my attention straight away as I browsed her beatiful IG feed. I've gone with a full page photo of myself with my rainbow hair the same day it was done.

As I used that woodgrain rainbow ombre pattern I chose to stamp my title using versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder and I love the way it turned out!

I've also pulled inspiration from the block of journalling by incorporating a 3x4 journaling card.

Lastly, I pulled inspiration from the strips that Tai used along the top and bottom edges of both pages but my line is a bit more fluid.

I had so much fun with this page and just love how it turned out! Using someone else's beautiful work for inspiration is such a great way to get your creativity happening!
