Scraplift Saturday - Hybrid Team Member Evy!

Happy Scraplift Saturday! It’s a beautiful day over here in TRD-land because we get to scrapift Evy! Evy is a fan of bold color and fun cut files so it was a treat to peruse her gallery and get inspired!

Traci - Filled With Intention

When I saw Evy’s layout with that large cut file behind her photo, I was immediately inspired to use a Color Cast Designs acrylic piece in my stash. I knew that it would match these vacation photos perfectly, and so I paired them both with the Filled With Intention collection because it had all that bright blue and same orangey red!

The layout definitely came out much differently than the layout due to the differing size and the fact that acrylic has much more depth than cardstock, so I couldn’t effectively layer my photos OVER the acrylic, but the heart of the layout remains!

Danica - Harvest Moon, Heart & Hollow, and Sick Day

I love how Evy combines many of her layouts with cut files. They are so much fun and add so much dimension and interest to a layout. I picked the layout I pocket because I love how she used the cut file as the background of her page. Since I work exclusively digital, I decided to create my cut file digitally using a chunky font. I alternated the solid characters with outlined ones. I added paints from Paula Kesselring and stitches from Pink Reptile Designs to create the background layers. The rest of the layout was completed using the following kits from Traci: Go Left, Hearth and Hollow, October Mood, and Sick Day. I don’t think I would have done this had Evy not inspired me.

Cheryl - Filled With Intention

I chose this layout from Evy's gorgeous collection of projects because of the fabulous angles and depth. I wanted to achieve the same type of shadows that you see in Evy's paper layout, and I believe I came pretty close! I picked Traci's collection "Filled With Intention" to scrap this layout. It's been a rough year already, so making this page was a definite encouragement to not only dream, but to make goals and plans - to DO something. I loved the process of tucking in all the stickers and dimensional flowers, as well as adding all those word strips.

Stephanie - The Love List

I knew I wanted to scraplift this 12x12 layout, but in a smaller format. It also had two photos which is what I planned to use. I loved the idea of cutfiles behind the photos and I liked how the title was off to the side.

This was completed on the simpler side due to working in a smaller format. However I loved documenting the day where I felt down and needed a pick me up. I applied some make-up on my face and my favorite plaid shirt, which made all the difference to my mood. It was just what I needed. It had been too long since I dressed up. I need to do this more often.
