Pretty Prints With Chantal - Quick and Easy Mini Album You Can Gift!
Hi Hi Chantal here with another blogpost!
This time I will show you how to make a simple but cute project. Perfect as a handmade gift for somebody. It’s a sleeve with some pages inside.
First of all I had to figure out the size so instead of using patterned paper right away I like to make a prototype out of copy paper. If I like it and know what I need I print everything and punt my Cricut to work.
For this project my page is 7,5 inch wide and 6.25 high. I make some score lines to make the folds easier and more crisp. I score at 2 inch and 5 inch. And on the bottom I also make a score line at 0.5
If everything is folded I add some tape to make the sleeve. To give it a bit more texture I use my sewing machine for the bottom.
With a few embelishments I make a cluster to decorate the front of the sleeve. I like to use foam tape between layers to give it more dimension.
I adhere the cluster to my sleeve with glue and also use a circle punch to make te notch at the top. This way its easier to get the pages out of the sleeve.
Now it’s time for the pages inside. I cut them to size and think of how to decorate them. To avoid some bulk I added a patterned card underneath a journaling card in photoshop before printing. This way I still have a layered look without the actual extra layer. I also made the cards a bit smaller to fit on my pages. This is why I love digital / Hybrid products. You can easily adjust them to your needs.
With some Pictures, extra embellishments and some journaling I finish my pages.
And you are done! I took me 1,5 hour to make this. So it’s a fun little project that doesn’t take to long. You can adjust the size to your needs. I hope I got you some inspiration and If you make this project please let me know. I would love to see your take on it.
Lots of Love
Chantal
