Hey, Hey! Have you ever looked at a collection and LOVED it, but knew that the theme may be a little hard for you to use? Well today we're starting a new series called "Off-Theme Thursday" where we give you examples of how we approach using a themed collection outside of its theme!

Today we're working with My Oasis, a home-themed collection and Erika, Melinda and Sarah are showing off three non-home-themed layouts and explaining their process!

Erika

Hi friends, Erika here. Regardless of the season, my soul automatically craves rainbows. I loved using the My Oasis collection in November because of its soft colors. I also was a fan of how quickly this page came together by organizing the ephemera by color - it's one of my go-tos! I hope this page inspires you to get crafty this week 💜

Sarah

I love playing with paper and knowing that I can use a beautiful collection, even though I may not be scrapbooking something with the theme of the collection is even more exciting! My Oasis has so many pretty pieces in it! It was kind of hard for me to decided what to use, so I used a bunch of it! I started with a white background, this way I could grab the beautiful plaid for my 2nd layer. I played with a bunch of the 3x4 cards, along with some of the embellishments. Once I layered all of them behind my pictures, I decided to add some white paint to the background to have a little separation between all the layers and colors. I played on my computer, with the brown alphas and make my own title, Smore Please! Lol It turned out perfect!

Melinda

I just love, love, love the My Oasis collection and Traci released it with perfect timing for when I competed my bedroom make over earlier this year so when I saw it was the chosen collection for the first "Off Theme Thursday" I was super keen to challenge myself to use this in an other than intended way!
As you can see, I've chosen a photo with a VERY different theme but I felt like the colours worked beautifully! And then when I was creating my TN spread my idea morphed again and I ended up with this pretty simple page using some pattern paper cards and a TN signature that I actually really love!!

It’s Samee here, I am so happy and glad to be here. I will be sharing my first DT project for TRCD Design team.
I made a Heart shape mini album using My Oasis collection. Have you seen the neutral shades and the detailing in it? Its completely filled with bohemian stuffs, books , home, and rainbow.
Since I had to make a project Off theme, I made this mini album in a love theme was challenging and fun too. I left some spaces to add pictures and journaling in every page and on the front of the album, I gave the main title as Our Love begins.. where I will be adding our couple pictures from college days and pictures we took before our marriage.
