Let’s Make A Taylor Swift Themed Midnights Layout!
Hi friends, it’s Theresa here and since fall is upon us, I am getting back into my October Daily albums! Specifically I am in my 2022 album when Taylor Swift released Midnights, and I thought it would be super awesome to document that event with the Traci Reed Designs Moonlit collection (plus a little bit from The Manuscript). Follow along with me to see how I did it!
I began the layout with some of the mixed media elements in the Moonlit collection: the Mixed Media 1 which you can see on the outer edges of both sides, and the Mixed Media 2 which is the purple and pink background and white stars. I repeated the Mixed Media 2 several times across the layout almost creating a patterned paper. This was entirely inspired by the song “Lavendar Haze” and feels so dreamy to the layout, don’t you think? I also used the stars in the ellies pack, just adding them again at the edges prior to printing.
For the left side I printed out the main album cover - and the one I happened to have purchased - and I framed it with the Layered Frame in the Ellies Pack. The guitar and the sunglasses fit beautifully with this theme, along with some acrylic stars the the number 22 from my stash. The labels made for quick journaling directly underneath the album cover.
Now, the clock is such an epic awesome way to display all four album covers! These covers are simply a mood all by themselves, and I was compelled to re-create this awesome clock in my album. First I printed the four album covers as one piece measuring 6”x6”. I also cut a plain piece of transparency at the same size to layer directly over the covers. The transparency provides a place to adhere the clock numbers and hands without gluing to the photos themselves. The numbers are actually from The Manuscript white alphabet, and the hands are cut down exclamation points from Moonlit. The gold circle is the full moon from the Moonlit Ellies pack. The hands are attached with just the tiniest purple brad and they are of course set at midnight for the release!

This layout turned out so hot! I hope you find a way to document this album release in your own albums and that the clock gives you a fun idea for doing just that. See you again soon!
