I just love it when a great idea pops into my mind. That’s exactly how I felt while checking out the Strong AF collection for inspiration. I love how this collection invites you to document moments of empowerment and personal goals, celebrating strength in all its forms.
Inspired by that concept, I created a layout filled with affirmation words, and I absolutely loved how it turned out. To keep the letters aligned, I made a grid using a scoring tool and carefully placed each letter inside a 1×1 inch square. I won’t lie, sticking each letter down one by one took quite a while, but I truly enjoyed every step of the process. After that, it just added a 3x4 inch photo and a couple of flowers to finish it.

I love the colors in this kit, I immediately thought of these photos of my brother and his daughter working out. They each have their own way of exercising (he runs, she rollerblades) but they do it together. The dog is just happy to tag along anytime. So I decided to create their own sides to the page but have them meet in the middle, in the photos. Love how this page turned out!

I decided to go slightly off-theme with this collection, with a layout about River finishing up their second semester of university, and how proud I am of their accomplishments! The star embellishments were especially interesting to me, with the two fun layers of patterned papers, so they became the jumping off point for the layout. I decided to arrange the elements onto the page sort of like a mobile hanging on a wall or bulletin board! I turned the photos into stars themselves in Photoshop to repeat the star shape. Then I stitched all of the elements to the page, grounding them with ribbons from the collection and creating the mobile look. This was so much fun to create, I hope you are inspired too!

This is What Strong AF Looks Like
When people hear Strong AF, fitness is often the first thing that comes to mind. Most especially for this collection, which was what it was really intended for. But for this project, I chose to interpret strength a little differently… on a relationship level.
This mini album documents 15 years of BF–GF anniversaries with my boyfriend, now my husband. We just celebrated our 15th year last January 6, which made this project especially timely. I even used the cake topper I made for our anniversary, a shaker cake topper “15 BF-GF Years”, as part of the album cover, alongside the title “This is what Strong AF looks like” that came with the collection.
Inside the album, each page features photos of us taken every January 6, starting from 2012, when we turned one. The early years include collages I created using photos from that year, while the later pages focus on simple date photos - quiet and loving proof of showing up, year after year.
Some milestones deserved special callouts! On our third year, he proposed, marked with the embellishment “raising my heart rate.” And on our fourth year, we got married, clearly a “leveled up” moment.
Not every year was picture-perfect. Our 11th anniversary was spent in quarantine at home, both of us COVID positive. No fancy date, no going out, just us. And honestly, that’s where the Strong AF message shines the most. Because strength isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency. (Just like the embellishment I used says!)
This album celebrates a relationship that grew, changed, endured, and stayed - proof that strength can look like commitment, balance, and choosing each other over and over again. And to me, that is Strong AF.
But yes, after all this Strong AF reflection, I guess I should probably start working out too! Hehe!
