DIY Treat Bag Toppers with Allie
Hey friends! It’s Allie from Allie Scraps here to share a fun little idea for “extra treats” for Halloween! I know there’s always someone on your list who deserves more than just a fun size candy bar for Halloween (teachers? Custodians? Your FedEx guy?) and this project checks off the “cute” and “creepy” vibes along with “chocolate” -- sounds perfect to me!
I found the cutest idea on Pinterest the other day for a candy bag that said “Bugs and Kisses” and had chocolate Kisses and the little plastic spiders tucked inside as well-- and I knew I needed to grab my Jack and Skelly products from Traci and get to work! The little spiders included in the kit, along with the amazing glitter alphas-- made this project come together so fast!
I used a clear jewelry bag for my clear bag, just because I liked the longer look, but you could use a ziplock bag and have a very similar effect! To make the topper, I took a 3x4 card and made it just a tad bigger so it would cover the top of the bag/the zipper part. (If you’re using a ziplock bag, you’ll want to go more like 4x6). I folded that in half to cover the zip part, and then continued to embellish with some printed alphas and the cute glitter polaroid frame! And of course, I had to add a bow!
I love how this turned out, and I can’t wait to hand these out to our teachers and staff at the Halloween parties!
