Go Maximalist with Cheryl!

For this layout, I used the Bookish Bundle to help document the reading goals my husband and I set for ourselves (and so far, we're doing great!). One of my go to techniques for incorporating multiple patterned papers is to create layered rectangles as a base for my photo grouping.

I selected the dotted paper for the background, then layered three different patterned papers in varying sizes and placements. I also used the heart patterned paper as a mat behind my selfie for additional enhancement.

Once that foundation was in place, I quickly moved on to adding foliage, florals, and other embellishments to complete the page. I built clusters around the photos and journaling card for a central focal point, then added a few accents to the top left and bottom right corners to guide the eye both around the photo area and diagonally across the layout.

This bold, maximalist page came together in just over fourteen minutes—thanks to those layered paper pieces laying the groundwork and freeing me up to focus on the fun embellishing!
