From 3x4 to 12x12 and Everything In Between - Paper Sizes at TRD and How to Print Them!
If you’re anything like me, you don’t just stick to one format when it comes to scrapbooking. Some days it’s a classic 12x12 layout. Others, it’s a quick TN spread or a few pocket cards slipped into a 6x8 album. That’s exactly why I design every one of my collections with multiple paper sizes in mind—so you can create with what works best for you.
When you shop my collections, you’ll find a full range of printable sizes included:
12x12" papers for traditional layouts
6x8.25 papers offered for holiday and travel collections are perfect for travel and seasonal mini albums
Traveler’s Notebook size (4.25x8.25), designed to work seamlessly in TN inserts or Life Crafted Albums
Patterned cards in 3x4 and 4x6, both vertical and horizontal, for pocket pages or layering
Whether you’re building out a full story album or just popping a few cute cards into a spread, these sizes make it easy to mix, match, and stay inspired without having to resize or adjust anything yourself.
Option 1: 12x12
12x12 is perfect for digital crafters, those with wide-format printers OR folks wanting to print custom sizes. This is the largest size available and standard for scrapbookers.
Even if you don’t have a wide-format printer, you can still get the most out of my printable papers. Here are a few quick tips:
Want to print the 12x12s on standard Letter or A4 paper? No problem!
Open the file in your computer’s built-in image viewer and click File>Print
In the printer dialogue, choose Scale to Fit > Fill Entire Paper in your print settings.
Make sure to select borderless printing if your printer allows it, and you’ll get a beautifully full page at 8.5x11 or A4.
Now, getting into the sizes I sell as “printables,” we have the standard Traveler’s notebook size. I provide printable PDF files with two TN papers per sheet to save you time and paper, but because All my printable papers are offered as both individual files AND printable sheets, you can still print them individually as well.
Because the files are all provided as easy-to-use PDFs, you don’t need any fancy design software to get started. Just print and play.
Printing 6x8 or individual TN papers? These are already sized correctly, just set the scale to 100% in the printer dialogue box and turn borderless printing off to make sure your margins stay true to size.
Lastly, I offer patterned cards for pocket scrappers and those who like to scrapbook at smaller sizes (these are also great in Traveler’s Notebooks!
My patterned cards come in both 3x4 and 4x6 sizes and are offered in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
They come on individual files and printable PDF sheets with both vertical and horizontal options on the printable sheets only if the pattern has a directional orientation. This gives you both options where needed, but saves paper because you aren’t printing a second version of a pattern that can be turned around any which way.
Crafters Come in All Sizes (and So Should Your Paper)
Whether you’re a pocket page lover, a layout maker, a TN devotee, or someone who jumps around depending on the day (hi, yes, same)—there’s something in every collection for you. I’m a big believer in flexibility, and I want my designs to support your creativity, not box it in.
So next time you’re browsing a new collection, take a look at all the formats included. Try mixing a few together—you might find a new favorite workflow.
